Myrtle Beach police arrested a man they say robbed a bank Friday afternoon.

Police were called to First Citizens Bank, 2002 N. Oak Street, in reference to a bank robbery. Tellers at the bank told police the suspect, who was about 5-foot, five-inches tall and wearing a bulky black jacket and red knit hat, entered the bank shortly after 4 p.m. and handed one teller a note that said for her to give him all the money with no dye pack and no one would get hurt, according to a Myrtle Beach Police Department report. Witnesses said the man did not speak at all and only provided the note, which he took with him when he left, the report states.

Witnesses told police they saw a dark, four-door Ford Taurus speed from the parking lot shortly after the robbery.

Police have yet to release the name of the man arrested.
