Paper plant fire in Georgetown that kept firefighters busy for hours is out

A fire in the International Paper mill in Georgetown kept firefighters busy for more than three hours late Friday and early Saturday.

Fire broke out at the plant near 11 p.m. according to Kimberly Clewis, communications manager for International Paper’s Georgetown mill. No one was injured. She said the fire is out now.
