Georgetown County looking for armed robbery suspect

The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding a armed robbery and kidnapping suspect, said agency spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson.

Jimmy Cagle, 39, of Georgetown is wanted in connection with an incident that happened early Thursday morning.

Cuthbertson said Cagle is accused of holding a knife to a mans throat and taking his wallet, then demanding the man drive him to various locations around Georgetown. Cagle fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The victim was not injured in the incident that occurred about 2:30 a.m. Thursday.

Cagle is 5’10” and weighs 220 pounds. There are three active warrants for third degree assault and battery on unrelated cases, Cuthbertson said.

He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with information on his location can call 546-5101 or text “GCSOTIP” followed by the message to 274637.
