troot@thesunnews.comFebruary 5, 2014

Technical difficulties Wednesay and part of the day Thursday prevented delivery of calls to the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, said Carrie Cuthbertson, sheriff’s office spokeswoman.

Incoming telephone lines began experiencing the problems about 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to Cuthbertson. Calls to the 911 communication center were not impacted by the issue.

The phones began working again before 3:30 p.m. Thursday
