Myrtle Beach police planned to seek an arrest warrant for a 36-year-old woman in connection with a 57-year-old man who suffered a broken bone near his eye, which could result in disfiguration, according to a police report.
Officers were called at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday to 1301 Pridgen Road and found the woman outside the apartment, police said. The woman told officers her roommate, the 57-year-old man, had thrown her against the wall and her boyfriend, a 35-year-old man, had choked her before she was able to get away and call 911.
While officers spoke to the woman, the older man came outside and was bleeding profusely from his face, according to the report. The woman changed her story and told police her boyfriend choked her and the victim did not throw her against the wall until later.
The victim was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center where officers learned he had suffered an “orbital floor fracture and orbital bleeding,” which required surgery and “could result in permanent issues and disfiguration,” according to the report. The victim told officers the woman and her boyfriend had argued and the woman went into her bedroom.
The victim said the woman came out and told him if he didn’t like living there, he could take his belongings and leave, according to the report. The victim said the last thing he remembered was the woman coming toward him. The victim said he then woke up and police were there.
No other details were listed in the report.
