Camper fire near Loris contained early Monday

Members of the Loris Volunteer Fire Department battled a camper fire that threatened to spread to a nearby house early Monday, according to authorities.

Crews were called about 6:30 a.m. Monday to 1186 Trotter Ridge Road for the blaze, according to officials. The fire was contained to the camper, but the nearby home did sustain some heat damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
