These announcements are listed each Monday on a space-available basis.

Democrats

• Horry County Democratic Party “Believe in SC” team will have a meeting and planning session 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, at Conway Library, 801 Main St. in Conway.. For information contact Bill Jordan, 315-5362.

• Horry County Democratic Party happy hour will be on Thursday at the new Clarion Hotel (old Holiday Inn West) at 101 Fantasy Harbor Blvd, Myrtle Beach.. Beer will be served at discount prices at every table. Enjoy talking politics and other topics in a relaxed atmosphere. The event will start around 5:15 p.m.. • Northwest Action Dems will meet 10 a.m. Saturday at the Kingston Lake Educational Building, 3410 Church St in Loris in the back of the building. For more information, contact Lutie Floyd at 843-756-0138.

• South Enders will hold a forum about the Affordable Care Act and offer voter registration services at the Burgess Community Center, 10299 S.C. 707, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. People who are new voters, need to change their address or want information on the new photo voter identification law are encouraged to attend.

The forum will discuss eligibility for coverage in the healthcare marketplace. Certified application counselors from Little River Medical Center will provide details, answer questions and help with enrollment. All are welcome. • The Horry County Republican Club will meet 6 p.m. Monday at the Conway campus of Horry-Georgetown Technical College, 2050 U.S. 501. Sheri Few with S.C. Parents In Education will give a presentation on Common Core.
