Horry County public schools to be closed Friday

Horry County public schools will remain closed Friday, according to Teal Harding, Horry County Schools spokeswoman.

District and school employees who work contracts 220 days or more are asked to report to work by 10 a.m. unless road conditions make it unsafe for them to travel.

Harding said no problems have been reported at any of the schools except for the large amount of ice on driveways, parking lots and roads that is not melting.
