Second teen charged in Conway area shooting

A second teenager wanted in connection with a shooting outside Conway was arrested Wednesday afternoon.

Shaquille Rasheen Weaver, 19, of Conway was jailed about 1:15 p.m. Wednesday and is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He is being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center pending a bond hearing.

Police on Tuesday arrested 17-year-old Devonte Lee McCrea, of Conway, on the same charges. He also is being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center. Bail has not been set.

The pair are charged in connection with the Jan. 16 shooting on Commonwealth Circle which is off Singleton Ridge Road, said Lt. Robert Kegler with Horry County police.A man suffered non-life threatening injuries when he was shot about 5 p.m. Jan. 16 at the location and four men were being sought in the shooting, Kegler said at the time of the incident.

The two other men have not been identified by police and no other details about the incident have been released..
