Myrtle Beach man wanted in connection with robbery attempt

Myrtle Beach police are looking for a man wanted in connection with an attempted armed robbery, according to a press release.

Police issued warrants for the arrest of Jonathan Robert Gary, 27.

Gary is accused pointing a gun at a man from the passenger seat of a car and demanding money on Jan. 13 near 13th Avenue South. The victim turned and ran from the vehicle and nearby woman heard a commotion, spoke with the victim and called police.

Anyone with information about Gary’s location can call Detective Steve Clothier at 918-1912. Police said Gary has previous convictions for assault and robbery and said anyone who may see him should use caution.
