Man reports being beaten, robbed of $7 in Myrtle Beach

A 31-year-old man told Myrtle Beach police he was beaten until he lost consciousness by three men, who stole $7 from him, according to a police report.

The victim estimated he was unconscious for 30 to 45 minutes after he was kicked while on the ground about 4 a.m. Wednesday in the area of 17th Avenue South and Yaupon Drive, police said.

The victim said he was walking along 17th Avenue South when the three men approached him and hit him, which caused him to fall, according to the report. While on the ground, the victim said the last thing he remembered was being kicked repeatedly.

When the victim woke up he said he was missing $7, according to the report. Police noted the victim had a swollen, bruised eye and a possible broken shoulder. No other details were listed in the report and detectives are investigating the incident.
