Democrats

• As part of a Martin Luther King Jr. week of service, the Horry County Democratic Party is seeking volunteers to phone bank in three-hour shifts on Tuesday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.

• The West Side Democrats will meet at the Horry County Democratic Party Headquarters from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday.

• The Horry Grand Strand Dems will meet 12:30 p.m. Friday at Friendly’s Restaurant, located at the intersection of 47th Ave. North and U.S. 17 in Myrtle Beach.

• The Greater Carolina Forest Republican Women will meet 10 a.m. Monday at Longbeard’s Bar & Grill. State Treasurer Curtis Loftis Jr. will be the guest speaker.

All are invited. Longbeard’s is located at 5040 Carolina Forest Blvd. in Carolina Forest. A breakfast buffet is available for $5.

• The Grand Strand Chapter of the Republican Liberty Caucus will hold a Second Amendment celebration at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #10420, located at 4359 U.S. Highway 17 in Murrells Inlet.

Sen. Greg Hembree, of Little River, will be the featured speaker.
