Grand Strand Regional Medical Center will sponsor its 33rd annual health fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 1 at Coastal Grand mall, according to information from the hospital.

More than 40 medical and health care exhibitors will provide information and screenings. For $30, the hospital will perform Panel 3 blood profiles.

A profile includes thyroid, complete cholesterol, total iron, sodium, glucose, calcium, magnesium, total protein, protein, potassium and more. Those who want a profile should not eat for 12 hours preceding it. Diabetics should bring a snack to eat immediately after the screening, the hospital advised.

Free screenings at the health fair will include blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, foot, spine and vision.

Physician practices associated with Grand Strand will participate, and hospital representatives will be able to discuss things such as living wills, diabetes, general hospital information, senior health, volunteers, surgery, stroke and wound care.
