The temperature is about to drop in Myrtle Beach, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, N.C.
Steve Pfaff, with the NWS, said there’s a slight chance for light wintry weather possible in the Grand Strand and Pee Dee through early to mid Thursday morning.
No significant impacts are expected, Pfaff said, because the moisture is expected to be limited by the time the coldest air arrives behind a cold front that will sweep off the coast late Wednesday.
A light drizzle and possible snow flurries are expected on the coast between daybreak and about 10 a.m. No accumulation is expected.
A low of 35 degrees is expected in Myrtle Beach Wednesday night. Thursday’s temperature is expected to reach 48 with a low of 31 degrees Thursday night.
