Myrtle Beach police cite juvenile following air gun shooting incident

Myrtle Beach police cited a juvenile after a 49-year-old man told officers a group of kids were walking in the area and one of them was shooting an air propelled gun at people, according to a police report.

The victim and a 44-year-old man told police that about 6:15 p.m. Sunday in the area of Dunbar Street and Graham Avenue the group of juveniles walked through the area and the one with the gun shot at people, police said.

Officers did not find the air propelled gun, but did find the victim and issued a juvenile summons on a charge of simple assault and battery to the youth and his mother, according to the report. The juvenile was released to the custody of his mother and ordered to appear in court.
