One injured in shooting near Food Lion on US 501 in Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured Saturday night.

Officers responded to the Food Lion parking lot at 1009 U.S. 501 for a reported shooting, said Lt. Shannon Castle. Once on the scene officers found one man had been shot.

The victim was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for treatment, Castle said. His condition was not known as of Sunday night.

The incident remains under investigation.
