CCU taps new officers for philanthropy, athletic foundation

Coastal Carolina University has named three new officers for its Office of Philanthropy and the Chanticleer Athletic Foundation (CAF), according to a news release from CCU.

Mark Roach has been named the new vice president for philanthropy. Roach was executive director of CAF from 2007-13 and also has served as its senior associate athletic director. Roach was coordinator of athletics and physical education for Horry County Schools before joining CCU in 2002. He has a bachelor’s degree in physical education from CCU and a master’s degree in sports management from the U.S. Sports Academy.

Mark Kiskunas has been named the new senior director for philanthropy. A CCU graduate, he has held executive positions with Plantation Federal, NationsBank in Charlotte and the Royal Bank of Canada. Kiskunas also is a former president and treasurer of the Myrtle Beach Sertoma Club.

Chris Johnson has been named executive director of CAF. He has been director of development and senior major gift officer for CAF, director of development for university athletics and other areas of advancement and philanthropy, and executive director of the CINO Club, which is now the Chanticleer Club. Johnson is also a former president of the Myrtle Beach Sertoma Club.
