Two arrested on drug charges in Georgetown County

Agents with the 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit arrested two men in Georgetown County on drug charges Thursday.

Citizen complaints about narcotics offenses prompted police to investigate the 3 Door Disco at 56 Micah Drive in the Plantersville Community, said Carrie Cuthbertson, spokeswoman for the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.

Malcom Myers, 28, and Willie Lavon Porcher, 28, are charged with trafficking cocaine base, trafficking cocaine base within a half mile of a school and possession of marijuana.

Police found about 30 grams of cocaine and 5 grams of marijuana at the address.

The men are being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center.
