Woman stabbed during fight inside Myrtle Beach club

A 24-year-old woman was stabbed during a fight at a Myrtle Beach club, according to a police report.

Officers were called to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center at 5:40 a.m. Thursday following an assault at Club 503 at 503 Eighth Ave. N., in the city, police said.

Officers found the woman was being treated for two cuts to her neck, one to her back and a deep cut to her side that was surgically closed, according to the report. The victim told police she was in the club when a fight started and one of her friends was involved in the fight.

The victim said she went to help, but a man grabbed her from behind and then released her, according to the report. A witness then told the victim that she was hurt and drove the victim to the hospital.

The victim could not provide police with any other details about the incident, according to the report. The witness did not know the victim prior to the incident. Detectives are investigating the incident.
