Diners will be able to find some deals at a handful of Grand Strand eateries starting Thursday as the state kicks off its annual Restaurant Week.

Only about 10 Grand Strand restaurants have signed up to offer specials during the 11-day period, according to the website.

Participating restaurants offer special menu items, promotions or discounts through Jan. 19.

The South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association organizes the week aiming to boost restaurant sales during a traditionally slow time of year and to show off the state’s culinary offerings.

The Grand Strand restaurants participating, according to www.restaurantweekmyrtlebeach.com:

Aspen Grille, Brentwood Restaurant & Wine Bistro, Castano’s Italian Steakhouse, Crady’s Eclectic Cuisine on Main, Croissants Bistro and Bakery, Drunken Jack’s, Greg Norman’s Australian Grill, Parson’s Table, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Vidalias at Sheraton and WaterScapes Restaurant at the Marina Inn.

The Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association urges diners to make reservations.
