Myrtle Beach seek suspects in hotel armed robbery

Myrtle Beach police are searching for two men who robbed the LaQuinta Hotel on 21st Avenue N. at 9 p.m. Sunday night.

According to news from the police department, one of the two men held a gun to an employee and ordered her to give him the money from the cash register. After she opened the register and he took the money, he demanded that she open the safe as well.

The woman told him she did not know how, according to the news release.

While this was happening, the report said a second man held a gun on another man at the front desk, who cannot be located.

Both suspects were wearing black hoodies, according to the report. One was 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighed about 125 pounds. The other was described as 6 feet tall and weighing about 160 pounds.

The smaller man had on faded jeans and carried a silver revolver, and the taller also had on jeans and used a dark revolver.

The report said one suspect’s hoodie had a Juggalo design on it which is associated with the rap group Insane Clown Posse.

The third man who was held at gunpoint at the front desk is wanted for questioning.
