Woman reports arguing couple robbed her of cash in Myrtle Beach

A woman told Myrtle Beach police she was walking to the store when a couple she saw arguing robbed her of cash, according to a police report.

The 49-year-old victim told officers that about 5 p.m. Saturday she was walking along 65th Avenue North when she saw a man and woman arguing at the corner of Colonial Drive, police said.The victim said she turned to walk the other way and soon after the couple came up behind her, threw her to the ground and punched her in the face, according to the report. The victim said they took $20 from her pocket and covered her mouth when she tried to scream for help.

The victim said the couple then ran toward Timberline Avenue and the victim, along with a witness, briefly followed the couple, according to the report. The victim suffered minor cuts and bruises to her arms, hands and fingers and was treated at the scene by EMS.
