Myrtle Beach police investigate sexual assault

A woman told Myrtle Beach police early Monday that she was sexually assaulted the day before in an Ocean Boulevard motel room, according to a police report.

The victim, whose age was not listed in the report, was being treated at a local hospital when police spoke to her about 1 a.m. Monday, according to the report. The victim said the assault happened between 1:30 and 8 a.m. Sunday.

The victim gave police the name of the 39-year-old man who was a suspect in the incident, according to the report. Detectives are investigating the incident.
