    To get your local political group’s meetings and other events listed, please send an e-mail to sneditors@thesunnews.com with the following information: Name of your local political group, time and date of meeting/event, location/address, topic/purpose, whether it is open to the public, whether it’s free or the amount it costs. These announcements are listed each Monday on a space-available basis.


•  South Enders will meet 6 p.m. Thursday at Borgata Restaurant in the upstairs bar, 813 Surfside Drive in Surfside Beach. The guest speaker, Shawn Drury of Conservation Voters of South Carolina, will discuss the “Don’t Dump on South Carolina” campaign to protect home rule for county landfills. •  Beach Dems will have a breakfast meeting from 8 to 9 a.m. Friday 8:00-9:00 am at Akels Restaurant at 65th Avenue North and Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach. Mike Anthony, candidate for the open S.C.
