Early morning fire reported at Myrtle Beach hotel

Myrtle Beach emergency crews responded to a fire in a room at an Ocean Boulevard hotel early Friday, according to authorities.

The fire was reported about 6 a.m. Friday at the Ocean Forest Plaza located at 5523 N. Ocean Blvd., police said.

Firefighters responded and extinguished the blaze inside a room at the hotel. Motorists in the area should expect delays while emergency crews are on the scene.

Additional details about the blaze were not immediately available at 6:30 a.m. Friday. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
