Coastal Cancer Center is continuing the American Cancer Society’s “Look Good...Feel Better” program in Myrtle Beach in 2014.

The program teams up cosmetology professionals with women in cancer treatment to help patients better understand changes to their hair, nails, skin and physical appearance during chemotherapy or radiation, said Coastal Cancer Center spokeswoman Meghan Miller.

Women receive guidance on make-up application, turban styling and wig care during the session and receive complimentary make-up kits.

The first session is Jan. 13 at the Coastal Cancer Center at 8121 Rourk Street from 2 to 4 p.m. Women in cancer treatment, or within six months before or after treatment can register by calling 1-800-227-2345.

Visit lookgoodfeelbetter.org for more information on the program, and coastalcancercenter.com for more information on the facility.
