A 30-year-old Galivants Ferry man was killed when he was thrown from a pickup truck he was driving early Tuesday, according to authorities.

Christopher Joel Graham, 30, of Galivants Ferry was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash from blunt force trauma, said Duane Brown, Horry County deputy coroner. An autopsy will not be performed.

Graham was driving a 1995 GMC pickup truck going north along Willard Road when the truck ran off the right side of the road and overturned, said Cpl. Sonny Collins with the S.C. Highway Patrol. The crash was reported at 12:06 a.m. Tuesday to authorities.

Graham and a passenger, who was not identified, were both thrown from the vehicle and were not wearing seatbelts, Collins said. The passenger was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for treatment. Details about their condition were not immediately available Tuesday.
