Horry County rescue crews battle house fire in Murrells Inlet

— Horry County Fire Rescue crews battled an early morning house fire in the Murrells Inlet area, according to authorities.

Crews were called about 6:10 a.m. Monday to the 9900 block of McDowell Shortcut Road for the blaze at a single family home.

Motorists in that area should expect delays while emergency crews are at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No other information was immediately available at 6:45 a.m. Monday.
