Horry County Police are now looking for a 24-year-old woman who went missing shortly before Christmas.

Police said Saturday that Jamie Lynn Cross has been missing since Dec. 23.

“There is an active investigation in determining her whereabouts,” Lt. Robert Kegler said.

Cross stands about 5-foot 11-inches tall, weighs more than 200 pounds and was last seen driving a green Volkswagon.

This is the second missing woman from the area in December. Earlier this month, 20-year-old Heather Elvis of Socastee was reported missing by her family. Elvis’ car was found Dec. 19 at Peachtree Landing. Family and friends have been searching that area for days since her disappearance.

“There does not appear to be anything at this time connecting the two girls,” Kegler said.

Anyone with information about either Cross or Elvis should call 915-8477.
