Police said burglars stole a Sony PlayStation 3 and an Ibanez bass guitar from a Myrtle Beach home on Christmas Day.

According to a Myrtle Beach police report, officers responded to the 500 block of 33rd Avenue North at about 11 p.m. Wednesday for a reported burglary.

Officers spoke to the victims who said it appeared someone forced their back door open and stolen items from the house sometime between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. while they were not home.

One victim, a 39-year-old man, told police that a limited edition white PlayStation 3, three controllers and about 10 games were missing from the home. A second victim, a 26-year-old woman, said her blue bass guitar and Acer laptop were missing.

According to the report, officers said the home did not look as though it had been searched and it appeared whoever stole the items knew where the items were.

The incident remains under investigation.
