Woman charged with murder in Galivants Ferry man’s death

Horry County police have charged Connie Louise Highsmith with murder in connection with a fatal stabbing on Christmas Eve in Galivants Ferry.

Police were called to the scene on Methodist Rehobeth Road at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and found a 52-year-old man dead.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick said Herbert Lee Robinson of Galivants Ferry died of a stab wound to the upper chest with massive hemorrhaging. Horry County Police Lt. Robert Kegler said Robinson’s death stemmed from a domestic dispute.
