“Trailer Park: Welcome to Myrtle Manor” cast member Taylor J. Burt will not be a featured character on the second season of the show, set to premiere next month.

Burt made the announcement Monday afternoon, saying that appearing on “Myrtle Manor” would conflict with another developing show that he is involved with.

“It’s a choice I made because I was approached about another project,” he said. “It’s still open if I want to appear on season three [of ‘Myrtle Manor.’]”

He said he could not give more details about the developing show.

“You’ll still see my face from time to time,” he said. “My mom is still on the show.”

Burt has been arrested twice since the show premiered in March. He is facing charges of criminal sexual conduct with a minor under age 16 after police said a 15-year-old girl told them in April she had sexual relations with Burt. That case is pending.

Burt also is facing disorderly conduct charges stemming from an Oct. 6 fight at Broadway at the Beach. He is awaiting a jury trial for those charges.

The second season of “Myrtle Manor” will premiere 10 p.m. Jan. 16 on TLC.

A spokeswoman from TLC did not immediately return a request for comment.
