Several injured in Georgetown accident

Several people injured in a Georgetown accident late Monday afternoon were being transported to a hospital, Georgetown police Capt. Nelson Brown said.

Brown said that an accident involving a tractor trailer and several vehicles caused a second accident at the foot of the Maryville Bridge on U.S. 17 Business.

He said that one lane of traffic is closed in each direction.
