Mega Millions Jackpot climbs to $425 million

The Mega Millions Jackpot is now sitting at $425 million, the second highest jackpot in the lottery game’s history ahead of Friday night’s drawing, said Holli Armstrong with the S.C. Eduation Lottery.

Mega Millions estimates ticket sales will reach $63 million Friday before the drawing at 11 p.m.

Odds of winning are one in about 259 million. Tickets must be purchased by 10 a.m. to play.

A winner could elect a cash option of $228 million.
