Conway man assaulted, prosthetic hand damaged

— Conway police are investigating the assault of a 23-year-old man, whose prosthetic hand was damaged, according to the report.

Officers were called about 10:30 p.m. Friday to Wrecking Ball Tavern at 702 S.C. 544 where the victim told officers he was walking into the bar when he was jumped from behind and assaulted, police said.

The victim said he fell to the ground and his prosthetic hand came off and the person stomped it during the assault, according to the report. The victim gave police information about the vehicle that the suspect left in and its passenger.

A witness told police that three men were kicked out of the bar just before the assault in the parking lot, according to the report. A bartender also told police that the suspects were asked to leave the bar, but she did not see the assault.

Police took photos of the damaged hand and are investigating the incident.
