Teen dies in late night vehicle crash in Georgetown County

— A teen died late Monday in a single-vehicle crash in Georgetown County, according to authorities.

David Belue, 17, died from multiple traumas he suffered in the crash, according to the Georgetown County Coroner’s Office.

The crash happened about 11:30 p.m. Monday on Kent Road near Gapway Road in the Andrews area, said Cpl. Sonny Collins with the S.C. Highway Patrol. The teen was driving a 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck when it ran off the roadway and struck a tree.

The teen was the driver and only occupant of the vehicle and was not wearing a seatbelt. The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
