Car crashes into Myrtle Beach pond

Myrtle Beach police and emergency medical personnell responded Wednesday night to 48th Avenue North where a car crashed into a pond, police said.

Sgt. Jeremiah Beam said the driver of the car was out of the water and fine. Beam said the traffic division was handling the crash and did not have more specific information.

The car crashed into a pond at the intersection of 48th Avenue North and Bermuda Way about 6:30 p.m.

Details about what caused the crash were not immediately available.
