— A Conway man was charged in connection with a woman being shot in the head outside a club in November, according to an Horry County police report.

Dorian Derrell Williams, 20, of Conway was charged with attempted murder and an unrelated charge of failure to appear in court, according to records at J. Reuben Long Detention Center. Williams was booked into the jail at 2 p.m. Tuesday and remains there pending a bond hearing.

Officers were called at 3:30 a.m. Nov. 23 to 655 Browns Chapel Avenue for a 25-year-old woman being shot in the head, police said. The victim told police she and a 34-year-old woman, 35-year-old man and 26-year-old man were at Bell’s Lounge at 990 Bucksport Road, near Conway when an argument occurred with Williams and two other men.

The victim said she and the others got into a vehicle to leave and the men shot at their vehicle, according to the report. The others with the victim told police that Williams and the two other suspects tried to assault the 26-year-old man and the suspects shot at them as they drove away.

Police found several bullet holes in the vehicle, including one in the driver’s headrest where the victim was sitting, according to the report. The incident remains under investigation.
