— A 20-year-old woman told Myrtle Beach police her 21-year-old boyfriend stopped his vehicle twice and assaulted her during an argument about text messages he found on her cellphone, according to a police report.

The victim told officers that about 12:30 a.m. Sunday she and the suspect had argued earlier about the messages, police said. The victim said she tried to remove her belongings from his vehicle, but he drove away with her inside.

The victim said she asked the suspect to stop and he did, but he got out and went to her side of the vehicle and choked her, according to the report. The victim said the suspect then drove back to 2807 S. Ocean Blvd., and she called police.

The victim said in the parking lot the suspect pulled her by her feet from the vehicle and then he drove away, according to the report. The victim refused treatment for her injuries. The suspect was not in the area and police planned to seek warrants for his arrest.
