MYRTLE BEACH — Horry County police are searching for one man after they arrested a second man in the sexual assault of a girl, who was 8 when the assault began and is now pregnant, according to a police report.
Damian Jazwuan Jackson, 20, of Loris was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center at 3:49 p.m. Thursday and charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, according to jail records. He is being held pending a bond hearing.
Horry County police Lt. Robert Kegler said officers are searching for Kevin Maurice Jackson, 26, of Tabor City, N.C., in connection with the incident.
Kevin Jackson is listed as a suspect in one report after the girl told officers on Sept. 8 that he had repeatedly raped her since she was 8 in 2010, according to the report. The girl told officers that Kevin Jackson had also offered her money when she refused to have sex with him. The girl said she refused the money and Jackson later forced himself on her.
Damian Jackson was charged after the girl told officers that Kevin Jackson forced her to have sex with the younger man while Kevin Jackson watched, according to a separate police report. Anyone with information regarding Kevin Jackson’s whereabouts can call Horry County police at 915-TIPS.
