MYRTLE BEACH — A Hopkins couple, who were visiting Myrtle Beach on vacation, won $200,000 on a scratch off lottery ticket they purchased in North Myrtle Beach, according to S.C. Education Lottery officials.
“We high fived,” said the man, who bought his wife the Extreme Green ticket for $10 when he stopped for gas at the Tiger Mart No. 16 in North Myrtle Beach. “We might tell the kids at Christmas.”The couple declined to be identified.
Three top prizes of $200,000 remain in the $10 Extreme Green game and the odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 600,000, according to lottery officials. For selling the claimed ticket, Tiger Mart No. 16 in North Myrtle Beach received a commission of $2,000.
