MYRTLE BEACH — A 15-year-old last seen at North Brunswick High School in Brunswick County, N.C., is being classified as an endangered juvenile, according to authorities.
DaMonte Batts, 15, of Wilmington, N.C., was last seen about 4 p.m. Monday at the school, said Emily Flax with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office. In a release issued about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Flax said Batts is now considered an endangered juvenile.
Officials are asking for the public’s help in locating the teen, who is described as being a black male, 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 145 pounds with black eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a grey Aeropostale sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Police released photos of the teen including one of the teen from a school surveillance system.
