MYTLE BEACH — Four people were arrested, 37 citations were issued and 15 grams of marijuana were seized during a traffic safety checkpoint in Conway on Friday night, according to authorities.
Members of the 15th Circuit Law Enforcement Network held the checkpoint on U.S. 701 South in Conway, said Myrtle Beach Mcpl. Shannon Toole, who is a coordinator of the network. Officers from Conway, Horry County Police Department, Horry County Sheriff’s Office, the Highway Patrol, North Myrtle Beach, Loris, Briarcliffe Acres, Surfside Beach, Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, Aynor and state constables participated in the checkpoint.
During the checkpoint officers filed four simple possession of marijuana charges, one driving under the influence, two charges of operating an uninsured motor vehicle and multiple traffic violations.
