Two men have been charged in connection with an armed robbery at Cooter’s Country Store last month.

Nigel Omar Vanderhorst, 26, and Josh Lamar Green, 23, both of McClellanville, are charged with armed robbery and are being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center.

The two men are accused of entering the store at 3508 South Fraser Street about 10 p.m. Sept. 23 and demanding money from the store clerk, said Carrie Cuthbertson, spokeswoman for the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities said the two men took miscellaneous items and an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing in a vehicle down Pennyroyal Road.
