Galivants Ferry man charged with sexually assaulting 10-year-old for six years

— Horry County police charged a 53-year-old Galivants Ferry man in connection with a girl being sexually assaulted during a six-year period, according to a police report.

Earl Bradley Mitchell, 53, was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday and charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, according to jail records. Mitchell was released on $10,000 bail at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday.

An Horry County police report showed that the 10-year-old victim and her family spoke with detectives on Oct. 14 about her being sexually assaulted during the last six years, according to the report. Mitchell is listed as the suspect in the report.
