MYRTLE BEACH — Myrtle Beach police took a 21-year-old man into custody Tuesday in connection with a shooting at a club during the weekend that left a woman hurt, according to authorities.
Robert Cameron Perry, 21, was taken into custody Tuesday charged with attempted murder in connection with the shooting that occurred about 5:45 a.m. Sunday at Club 503 at 503 Eighth Ave. N., police said. Perry is being held at the Myrtle Beach Jail pending a bond hearing.
On Monday, police released surveillance photos of two men they wanted to question in connection with the shooting.
Officers were called to the club for gunshots being fired and when they arrived they learned a 25-year-old woman had been shot in the leg and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to the report.
A witness told police that two men argued and when a club employee asked one of the men to leave, that man got upset and threatened to shoot up the club, according to the report. Soon after, a witness told police that a dark colored sport utility vehicle drove by the club and about six gunshots were fired from the rear passenger seat at the club.
Police continue to search for the second man wanted for questioning in the incident.
Anyone with information about the shooting or the second suspect can call 918-1911.
