A 15-year-old boy told police he was sexually assaulted by a 50-year-old man at a store off S.C. 707, according to a police report.
David Glen Frenton, 50, of Myrtle Beach is charged with second-offense criminal sexual conduct with a minor. He was arrested and released on Oct. 20 on $20,000 bond, jail records show.
The teen said he was walking home on Oct. 14 about 6 p.m. near the 10800 block of S.C. 707 near the Salem Junction shopping center when Frenton asked if he wanted to hang out later, the report said. An hour later, the teen said he texted Frenton to see if he still wanted to meet.
When he arrived at the suspect’s buisness, the teen said Frenton offered him a beer and once inside said he started to massage him before performing a sexual act, police said.
The boy’s mother told police he was previously diagnosed with a mental disability that causes “issues with his processing of information and reactionary time after processing thoughts,” the report said.
