MYRTLE BEACH — A Massachusetts woman was arrested late Friday after telling a fellow passenger on a plane at Myrtle Beach International Airport that she had a bomb in her bag, according to an incident report.
Nicole Sherri Negron, 51, of Framingham, Mass. is charged with making a bomb threat. She remains jailed at J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
According to police, it was the second threat made by Negron in a week at Myrtle Beach International Airport. She was not charged for the first incident which happened Tuesday on an outgoing U.S. Airways flight.
On Friday about 10:30 p.m., Negron told a woman sitting next to her on a Spirt Airlines flight that she had a bomb in her bag, the report said. She was escorted off in a wheelchair.
The passengers were deplaned so the aircraft could be searched by the Transportation Security Administration. It was deemed safe.
The Federal Bureau of Investigations also responded.
It was not clear where either flight was headed.
