MYRTLE BEACH — Police in Myrtle Beach are trying to identify a man wanted for questioning in a shooting that injured a woman early Sunday morning.Police responded about 5:45 a.m. Sunday to Club 503 on Eighth Avenue North near Kings Highway for a report of shots fire, according to an incident report.
A 25-year-old woman was shot in the leg. Sgt. Shannon Castle said she was not “directly shot” but was injured when the bullet ricocheted. Capt. David Knipes said her injuries were not life-threatening.
A club employee told police one of the suspects got in a fight with another bar patron and was asked to leave when he “became hostile” and threatened to shoot before leaving with four or five others, the report said. The employee said the group headed southwest toward the Sunoco gas station. Shortly after, a dark, possibly burgundy SUV with dark tinted windows drove past the club firing as many as six shots from the rear passenger seat, police said.
The suspect is described as a 5’8” to 5’11” man in his early to mid 30s with a medium build.
