MYRTLE BEACH — The Myrtle Beach was able to find offensive balance on Friday night.
And coach Mickey Wilson said he believes that will be a key for his team moving forward.
Brandon Sinclair the squads workhorse running back ran for 102 yards and a touchdown and Drayton Arnold threw for 154 yards and four touchdowns as Myrtle Beach routed Region VII-AAA rival St. James 36-14.
The biggest thing is were getting to where we can be balanced offensively, Myrtle Beach coach Mickey Wilson said. Brandon has been carrying the load for us. I feel like the passing game is getting better for us. Were more balanced and they cant focus in on Brandon as much. That will help us down the road.
Kelton Green had two catches both for scores for 54 yards, Hunter Starbeck had three catches for 78 yards and a TD and Malik Waring had one reception for a 20-yard touchdown.
The big thing is were getting better now, Wilson said. In the first half we played extremely well. We didnt play as well in the second half; we got a little sloppy. The key is were getting better. It was a big region win and we improved to 2-1 in the region, which is important.
